Secure Socket Layer (SSL)

CoreCommerce provies a free Shared SSL with all accounts, this is installed by default on the My Account,Checkout, and the admin panel. You can purchase a dedicated SSL though secureserver.net for a discounted rate.

For example, if your store’s URL is http://www.example.com, it will be updated to https://www.example.com after CoreCommerce installs the SSL.. Any of your customers who use the original URL will be redirected to HTTPS version of your store.

SSL certificates are activated by default in CoreCommerce for your store’s checkout, and for any content that’s hosted on your .corecommerce.com domain.

What is the importance of having an SSL?

An SSL certificate keeps you and your customers safe by protecting the information that’s flowing to and from your website. It encrypts names, addresses, passwords, account and credit card numbers and more so hackers and other online criminals can’t read them.

You MUST fill out the form below on this page to receive a CSR Key.

www.yourwebsite.com and yourwebsite.com are entirely different URLs and will cause issues such as site downtime, issues with your Google ranking, if you select the incorrect URL.

This will generate a support ticket shortly after the form has been submitted which will contain your CSR Key. The new ticket can be found in Account → My Tickets → SSL Certificate Transfer
