Personalization Import (Example .CSV) – Note your .CSV file will look different than the example provided here.

If you are utilizing variant pricing it will accept $1.00 to add to the base product price or -$1.00 to subtract from the base product price. 

Please note: anything separated with a | (pipe symbol) must also be separated in the .CSV file itself as well in order for the system to determine which values to look for.

Below is a breakdown of each header that can be added into the product personalization import and their meaning.

Product Id – A system generated Id used to identify the product

Product SKU – The SKU for the set of options. 

Product Name – The main product name

Vendor Name – Name of the main product’s vendor

Question ID|Answer ID – The system generated id for identifying a specific personalization ‘question’ (ie: color, size, etc..) and a specific personalization ‘answer’ (ie: red, large, etc..)

Question|Answer – This is the personalization ‘question’ (ie: color, size, etc..) and personalization ‘answer’ (ie: red, large, etc..)

Answer Input Type – This is the type of input the customer would select from. (ie: dropdown, checkbox, text field, etc…)

In Line Help – This is a ‘help-box’ typically a ? that the customer can click to be given further information.

Max Characters – This sets the max allowed characters for the Answer ‘input’. (ie: 50 character limit on a ‘text field’ type input.)

Required – This sets whether an answer is required. If Y then the customer must input text or choice depending on your input type.

Track Inventory – This can be a Y or N and determines if you wish to track a specific question/answer.

Question Enabled – This determines if the questions will appear on the front end with either a Y or N

Question Sort Order – This uses a number to determine in which order to set the question. (ie, 1,2,3,4 etc…) Please note the system is auto set to 0 meaning it will appear in the order you input it into the system. )

Exclude from best seller report – This will exclude a specific personalization question/answer from the Best Seller Report.

Quantity – This will set how many of the personalization ‘answer’ is available

Price – This price is in addition to the ‘Product’ price. 

SKU – The SKU for the specific personalization

Swatch Image – ie. red.png (This will go into the _import/_images) folder of your FTP. Upon import this image is copied and given a photo ID (ie. red.png > becomes 123.png)
 If already created in the system this will contain a photo ID (system generated) name such as 1234.jpg.  

Swatch Image Alt/Title Tag – Describes the image.

Swatch Image Image URL Link – This is a direct URL image (ie. www.test.com/red.png)

Swatch Image Height – This is represented in pixels (ie. 400)

Swatch Image Width – This is represented in pixels (ie 200) 

Swatch Image New Window URL – A new Window will open to display the image. 

Main Photo – This is the ‘main photo’ that will appear on the product detail page.

Main Photo Alt/Title Tag – Describes the main photo image.

Main Photo Caption – Displays text for the main photo image.

Main Photo Image URL Link – This is a direct URL image (ie. www.test.com/red.png) 

Main Photo Height –  This is represented in pixels (ie. 400) 

Main Photo Width –  This is represented in pixels (ie. 200) 

Large Photo – The image displayed when clicking on the ‘main photo’.

Large Photo Alt/Title Tag – Describes the main photo image. 

Large Photo Image URL Link – This is a direct URL image (ie. www.test.com/red.png) 

Large Photo Height – This is represented in pixels (ie. 400)

Large Photo Width – This is represented in pixels (ie. 200)

Answer Enabled – This will determine if the personalization ‘Answer’ should display with either a Y or N.

Default – This will set if a specific ‘answer’ will be the default choice display (example, client arrives on the product detail page. The first choice they see is shirt color: red)

Inventory Level – This will allow you to specific the physical inventory for an ‘answer’ personalization.

Low Inventory Notify Level – This will send out a notification email to the inventory amount specified. 

Weight – This will allow you set a weight for the specific personalization. (note: this will be passed to various shipping methods. Examples include,: real-time carriers and order-weight – flat rate shipping)

Cost – This is the reported ‘cost’ of the specific personalization.

Download Filename – Should the item be a download file this will allow you to specific the file name.

Answer Sort Order – This allows you to sort the specific personalization ‘answer’ (ie, 1,2,3,4 etc…) Please note the system is auto set to 0 meaning it will appear in the order you input it into the system.
